We Used To Call Them "Back-Seat Drivers"

Nowadays, the map-impaired call 'em "GPS". I don't have one. I don't want one.

At least I didn't until I saw this page of uploadable personalities for your GPS, specifically the Garmin and Tom Tom. Let's just say that now, I'm not quite so absolutely against them, but I still don't want one.

The first time I sat in one of the 'talking' cars (voice telling folks to buckle up, low fuel, etc), I thought the whole deal was being mis-applied. Instead of a vaguely-sexy female voice, I figured they'd be better off with someone like Mr. T: "Buckle your seatbelt, fool!", or "I pity the fool that don't get some gas soon!".
