Daughter Robyn is due on Halloween. Little girl, her name will be Lorelei.
In honor of this auspicious occasion, I've put a poll up at the top of the sidebar. Choose what my future "grandfather" name shall be. Vote early. Vote often. 'Tis the season.
I'm going to be a grandfather.
I think you should be known as Pops. Mazel tov, btw. How exciting for you (and Robyn)!
ReplyDeleteOh happy happy!
ReplyDeleteNot jealous. Much...
Ted has a grandchild on Halloween - fitting!
ReplyDeleteI think you should be called "Master."
Can I have a lollypop, Master?
Go to bed now.
Yes, Master.
Wow, you got some good ones, there.
ReplyDeleteWhat will be funny is if the new granddaughter makes up her own name for you...what are the chances she'll be creative and have a mind of her own? ;-)
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWe use G-Daddy.
But I really, really like "Bub".
(Joan sent me over...)
I liked "Oh Wise and Benevolent One...etc., etc.," but it may have some impractical aspects.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'll try to withhold my Grandpa Envy, at lesat until I marry my daughters off.
How about "Edgar?" Maybe "Skeets?"
ReplyDeleteThe Hollywood term is "Pepaw" but I've always been fond of Poppy.
ReplyDeleteC O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!
ReplyDeleteand if Lorelei is born on Halloween, it would only be a fitting event. I can already picture the different (movie) themes the grandparents will come up with for future birthday parties. Ooooh, oooh, please invite me for
"Night of the Living Dead"!!
